New Google/Youtube privacy policy scheduled for March 1st 2012

Google announced a plan Tuesday to link user data across its email, video, social-networking and other services.
Critics raised privacy concerns like those that helped kill the search giant's Buzz social networking service.

The changes, which take effect March 1, will remove some of the legal hurdles Google Inc. faces in trying to link information across services from Gmail to YouTube to the Google Plus social network that replaced Buzz.

The changes follow the shutdown of Buzz last month. After its introduction less than two years ago, the social networking tool was ridiculed for exposing users' most-emailed contacts to other participants by default, inadvertently revealing some users' ongoing contact with ex-spouses and competitors.

i think there lying. google was against sopa,pipa,acta. i think they change the Privacy Policy so it make hard for the goverment

@jman19mwi Well they have already been data-mining for quite awhile now,so it should'nt be hard to imagine google going in this direction.......By the way,this has nothing to do with copyright laws.That's a seperate issue.

I only use google when i'm looking up cooking receipt. STOP using it ppl. use startpage and use their proxy when possible.

Okay I'm sorry but this is so FUBAR!!! YouTube is a very precious. resource to me & others who network with rare debilitating diseases & it will break my heart to leave but this is absolutely UNACCEPTABLE! :( BUTT OUT GOOGLE OR LOSE YOUR PATRONS. WE DESERVE AN OPT OUT OPTION!
