@HecticComments If I wanted to make a movie about pre-Colombine native americans right before the Spanish arrived in Central America I would have done it about the Aztecs which would have been much more accurate and the ending would have made much more sense

@HecticComments I did enjoy the film. It kept me pretty entertained the whole time. But the end confused me a lot because it is a movie about the Mayans whose Empire was non-existant by the time the Spanish arrived. I mean, the pyramids were abandoned for a very long time. I just despise the whole ''Based on true events'' propaganda when most of the stuff shown is completely fictional.

I feel that this film is very inaccurate on its historical account... If I'm not mistaking, the Mayan Civilization was extinct long before the Spanish arrived... From what I know, the big cities such as the one shown in the movie were abandoned and when the Spanish arrived they found small rival clans hostile to each other. Even though these were Mayan they wouldn't have such a sacrifice in a grandiose temple such as that one shown in the movie.
