Infinite in the ways it appears to us, the watercolours here form a visual language of their own: familiar images yet a sweet abstraction, strong value changes, yet surprising angles and sizes, a friend recently wrote. the slideshow resembles in arrangement the way i paint. It unfolds, as a coming to know, through studied detailed isolation of form, of the essence of ponds, streams and rivers of Ontario.
