Lets have a quick look at DropZone. It is included in Sonar and seems to be a useful tool. The purpose of this was an overview of the plugin but it might give you new ideas of how to make some unique sounds.

  • when i open the synth, all the notes play. but when i view it under piano view nothing plays at all. any help??

  • @antsn101 Have you set the MIDI track to be output to dropzone? Do you have a MIDI keyboard; and does it play from that?

I expect none of your MIDI is working and that you have a problem with driver mode . This is simple to fix.

Please see my video called "Sonar First Time Set Up" for more about driver modes.

    Good luck

  • hi, i did something similar to what you did at 3:04 ish, which is entering multiple notes. i do not have a device that can hook up to the computer to do MIDI, so im trying to enter MIDI notes manually, so i chose bright piano. Now, i wanna play one note twice, like a 16th note of C followed by 16th of C, but when i play, instead of playing C twice, it just makes one sound. why is that? it only plays certain notes. can you please tell me how to solve this problem?

    Hi

I'm sorry I don't know much about this plug-in at all. If you shorthen the MIDI notes it might help, but likely you would need a more powerful sampler.

    Good luck

  • @dustypuppy ALLRRRRIIIGGGHHHTTTTTT!!!!!! thanks bro!!!! you've been of great help! thanks alot!!! =)

  • @LatinKorpz Hi - no problem buddy :) When you insert a track, you select AUDIO or MIDI - thats all. Once you have an audio track, go to its INPUT properties. You should be able to select (at least) 3 settings sound card left sound card right sound card stereo If you select right or left it will become a MONO wav file, selecting stereo makes it a stereo track. Since I use the delta 1010, I have many more choices in my INPUT properties. I hope this helps Dwight PS sorry no video
