In this guitar lesson I show you how to play I Shot The Sheriff, it's not the Marley or the Clapton way exactly - but just a fun way to use your triad chords!

There is a video of me playing this song with Katie Melua and Asa here: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=k-8AwOR-GtE

Taught by Justin Sandercoe.

Full support at the justinguitar web site where you will find hundreds of lessons on a wide range of subjects, and all the scales and chords that you will ever need! There is a great forum too to get help, no matter what the problem.

And it is all totally free, no bull. No sample lessons, no memberships, no free ebook. Just tons of great lessons :)

To get help with this lesson (and for further info and tabs), find the Lesson ID in the video title (like ST-667 or whatever) and then look it up on the Lesson Index page of justinguitar.com

http://www.justinguitar.com

Have fun :)

  • jamplay? You are kidding, Justin

They do not even come close to you

Your gift for teaching is exceptional

Enjoyable, rigourous, entertaining and spot on!

Thanks for bringing joy into a predictably stupid and entirely avoidable world situation

    Big respect always

    Christopher

  • NO HAT!!! OMG :D

  • cheers very much great lesson

  • @ApEaZed the root is on the 5th string. c =3rd fret, d=5th fret, e=7th fret (f=8th fret).

Going sharp (eg. c#) is going down the neck (from 3 to 4), flat (eg. eb) is going up toward the headstock of the neck.

    So eB is...? :)

  • Crispy triads, is that deep fried Chinese gangsters?

  • can someone tell me where i have to put my fingers for an e flat ?

  • 3:40 justin having fun

  • what are the dm and gm chords? how do you play them?

  • that trick with the relaxing of the fingers to shortent the notes is useful i was wondering how you do that/why your fingers keep moving when you are strumming the same chord

    thanks justin

  • its nice substitute the Dminor chord with a D7sharp 9 i find it just gives it edge

  • Justin rulez and rockz. Absolutely a simply clever leader.

If anyone out there is going to need some more help around the third sixteenth strumming I suggest to go checking ROSS BOLTON (Funk Rhythm Guitar) classic exercises.
