She was covering her eyes when the lady said "Can you hear me?" so she didn't "see" it, but then how does she know what that even means if she's never heard anyone speak before?

Thhis doesn't make sense, if this WAS her first time hearing, there would be no way she could know how to SPEAK english and LISTEN to it - let alone having absolutely NO problem pronouncing english so perfectly and fluently. I hate to say it, but I think this video is fake.

@jacobcg89 I agree. The title of this video "Hearing for the first time..." is misleading. Whether she was born hearing or grew up with hearing aids, she must have had experience with hearing and speech. How well a deaf person can speak generally determines how well they can comprehend speech or lip reading.
Unfortunately, this video doesn't show or say much, just a big WOW! The ignorant viewer would go WOW THAT'S A MIRACLE! Then they would link it up to their Deaf friends... fuck that.
