Two cats, mother and daughter: bonding, note - they have no tails, they are all part Bobcat, and the mother, Ash, is completely wild during this filming, (and yet, so petite that her KITTENS are now a head above her, and much larger in mass). I could not yet touch Ash and Miss Maddy Catty was still very fearful. I get "scratchies" on a regular basis from the two of them. They need traction! I admire them all so much, they are each so very different, and interesting, without my ever having to put pressure on anybody out there... and they come to me quickly, on their own. From there, it is all up to how freaked out they are from being touched... but it all comes, on their time. :-)

  • did you find they homes? or spay/ neutered?

  • They were born in the wild, to feral mothers, I did do the TNR thing for them after finding an organization that handled providing traps and advice about how to do it for an entire colony. 14 cats trapped and ready for their trip to the vet, all in one night. it was rough on them and on me... but it was done. No more hunting for food, no more fighting over scents within the group. 14 TRAPS - 14 CATS - recovering inside my house... in their traps. NO sound from any of them, these were not pets.

  • you sound like micheal jackson lawl.

  • LOL, I had to speak quietly because they were still so wild.

  • Such motherly love--both the cat's and yours!

  • you are a wonderfulll person :)

  • dey look like manx..

  • Yes, if animal control should try to catch one, they would immediately know by the tipping that they have a caretaker and are being looked after. That notch would save their lives. Shelters kill wild cats almost immediately because they can't easily be adopted by the general public, it takes a lot of effort to acclimate one to a new environment and about half the time it doesn't work. They are wild animals who have spent their entire lives outdoors with very little human contact.

  • so, they have those marks in their ears for what? So that they would be released if captured?

  • They each have a slight clip to an ear to identify them to animal control (if they were captured by animal control, they would immediately be put to sleep as feral cats cannot easily be tamed and are not good candidates for adoption - the ear-tipping is done because they cannot wear collars safely).

I did not cut tails. Some have NO tail, some have a partial tail, and two had full tails. No worries... no tails were harmed. LOL
