The Beatles - Drive My Car

Asked a girl what she wanted to be
She said baby, can't you see
I wanna be famous, a star on the screen
But you can do something in between

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I'll love you

I told that girl that my prospects were good
And she said baby, it's understood
Working for peanuts is all very fine
But I can show you a better time

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I'll love you

Beep beep'm beep beep yeah

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I'll love you

I told that girl I can start right away
When she said listen babe I got something to say
I got no car and it's breaking my heart
But I found a driver and that's a start

Baby you can drive my car
Yes I'm gonna be a star
Baby you can drive my car
And maybe I'll love you

Beep beep'm beep beep yeah
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah
Beep beep'm beep beep yeah

  • 1965: The Beatles - Drive My Car

2012: The B-Telz feat. Georgy M - Jack Someone Elsez Ride

  • i was singing this while walking, people where staring at me because i had no car

  • Fun Fact:

George Harrison played the piano in this classic Beatles hit.

  • baby you can ride me now !!

  • @MadSpectro7 Interesting. Never crossed my mind before.

  • @josephaberdeen I was implying that funk in the early 70's was inspired in part by this song.

  • @MadSpectro7 From what I just read, the Beatles were into soul and stuff around the time of recording/writing this album, hence the title. I hope that's the funky you're talking about!

  • Needs no more cowbell. Le perfection

  • I would have driven their car anyday.
