  • Its nice to see he is happy and healthy... Im guessing he will not be 100% after his ordeal...Its a shame so many dogs in taiwan are neglected... How is this such a big problem over there?

  • In Taiwan they're dumped; in the US they're euthanized in 'shelters' - 3 million per year at last count.

Irresponsible pet guardianship is everywhere, sadly.

  • i would really like to know how he is doing now... thanx for you kindness and helping him... cute pup!!!!

  • He almost got adopted, but it fell through, but Norton loves being around all the people and dogs at the Animals Taiwan holding centre and is in great health, enjoying walks with the kind volunteers who come to take him.

We will ship him if you're interested in giving him the kind of home he deserves. ;-)

  • SoaringHorses, thanks for putting the fairy right, but I think he may just be trolling you.

By the way, the vets said he must always eat soft food because of missing the front of his lower jaw and because of the unhinging, but all our dogs get fresh meat and bone (very, very healthy) and we wanted Norton to benefit too. Luckily, he has a great appetite, and, although it wasn't easy at first, Norton can now munch through half a chicken in no time. ;-)

  • Seriously all the idiots commenting about how they were 'crying' over his "recovery" are idiots, the dog still has a broken jaw and leg. Are you people blind. Why doesn't this "rescuer" show us the xray results of the dogs jaw that people are donating money towards??? HUH

  • Please, get your own vet to see this video and see if they suggest breaking the ankle and resetting it. We have done this twice in the past (to other dogs) and both times they came out worse. This time the vets (we always get a second opinion) were against it and we agreed. And his jaw is no longer broken: the front end of the bottom jaw was removed.
