@minhmook there were 4 dogs and 2 escaped but one got shot by acid and the other one was being absorbed by the tentacles so the guy shot it to put it out of its misery.

To me, it's simply the greatest scene of the whole movie. (When McReady discovers the thing screaming in the light)
The way they made that trhing appears to those poor guys makes you feel like something just directly came out from hell to walk the earth.
The guy who did that (name: Rod) finished at the hospital because he worked to hard on his creations. But I seriously wonder if that genius artist went in a normal hospital or in a psychatric one.
Creating this probably tortures minds....
