Consciousness is an organized pattern of networking, like a computer, but so complex it takes on a chaotic and at the base level random property due to its complex interactions. The brain is an example of these networks, and this is why computers are not conscious, because they are too well ordered as of the moment. They cannot change themselves. The universe is not conscious like the brain.
