A good drummer is able to play on every kind of drumset witz every kind of shoes. All the Jazz Giants were playing with rigid, leather soled shoes. And what would gatzen do without his specially tuned and set up kit. Presumably he would stand in the corner and cry. People, it's not about on what and with what you play.
You should be able to play naked with a treebranch in each hand, pounding on dead, rotting squids and still sound awesome!!

I had the same revelation with a pair of running shoes I bought recently too.. haha the "rocking" motion ended up being a big deal!

Love playing with my chucks. Very very light and comfy shoes. Not to mention they just look badass.
