linux actually looks decent.

No but you can download virtual dub (WAY better than Windows Movie Maker) there other high end video editing tools if you search for it.
-
many movie making programs exist for linux. a couple can be found just by typing "movie" in the package manager that comes OOTB with buntu. i'm pretty sure open movie editor is one of them.

you have two options for the games in linux.
one would be using wine to run windows applications.
two would be going to ubuntu's website. and going to the alternate downloads list. and using the installer for windows. it'll install ubuntu from windows, and allow you to dual boot (when you start your comp it'll ask which OS to load)

look weird, but i suppose im just a Windows and Mac user

can I still play games made for windows on this? E.g. Call of duty modern warfare 2 for PC, and on the back when it says for windows, can I still play them games? If not can I buy games like that for linux?

Question, is there a movie making program with Ubuntu or Mint so I can post music vids?
They're both linux.
Don't fight the same side.

Mint is awesome. If all you do is browse the web, use basic Word Processor and just want a solid built OS, you don't need a Windows or Mac OS.
One question, is the GUFW firewall any good or should I install Firestarter?
