  • when i shoot my clear to make it look like glas i first shot it 6 inches away all around i shoot it quick so it can stick good for the second coat i get an inch closer but lil slower motion than so when i get to the 3rd coat i get 3 inches away and very gentle slower motion it dont drip that easy or get orange peal but if im shooting say a door i do tha same but shoot fast wait about 2 minutes apply second coat waith 3 minutes then for the kill hehe

  • I notice you don't keep the gun at a 90* angle (square) and the end of your spray lengths, is there a reason? Doesn't this allow for some orange peel in those areas? Just curious.

  • If anybody has actually sprayed clear before, it's really hard to get right. If you spray too far away you'll get orange peel, and too close you'll get runs. I've just finished spraying my car bonnet for the second time, and although it's a LOT better than the first time I did it, it's not PERFECT. Trust me, it's hard to get clear right.

  • I like the satin black finish better!!

  • I would have done one panel at a time and worked top to bottom but i suppose we all have our own style.

  • this is nice but whats the name of the spray tool you are ussing?

  • Hi mate. Is the the gti pro? I have that gun and I'm really struggeling to set it up right.. What psi have you got it at? I have the needle screw set so you can see two rings on the thread and the fan wide open.. And advice? Would be much appreciated! Adam

  • I'm A&P (Jet Mech) and I know plenty pro painters, I tell you this guy knows his sh*t has a great fuk'n rhythm. I can weld anything, in any position with great rhythm but I fall apart when I get a paint gun in my hand I don't know why. This sh*t is a art every body has there own style what ever works, sammy nice fuk'n job mate!

  • and where the second layer?

  • i will now comment in australia you are ment to wear an airwash hood because the isocyanates still can go through your ears and skin...!. and i would definatley not walk the whole side of the car because more than likly you will spray unevenly...oh and i spray from bottom to top most of the time its just my preference if you are good enough painter you can do this with no dramas

showie mate good on ya... giv some of those backyarders a tip lol...
