Forrest GrapeRide 2009

The Forrest Graperide 2009 was a fantastic event - the largest cycle race in the South Island with over 2500 riders. The race starts at the Forrest Winery in Marlborough and goes for 101 km through Renwick, to Blenheim along Highway 1 to Picton up and along the Queen Charlotte Drive down through Canvastown the Rai Valley and then back to the Forrest Winery for a great day of eating, drinking and being merry. Before the prize giving comes the crushing of the Pinot Noir grapes where we take 100 virgins aho ahve never crushed grapes before and they stomped the grapes which we later turn into a wine which people can purchase when they enter the next year.
