  • Come away, O human child,

To the waters and the wild,

With a fairy, hand in hand,

For the world's more full of weeping than you can understand.: WB Yeats

  • I know about psychic vampires. Heh, I know about a lot of things. Guess what. It's natural. There are a lot of things in the world that aren't supposed to exist, but they do.

If fae is all you are worried about, you've got another thing coming.

  • what is the music playing

  • @kitonic Yeah, the modern concept of the faerie is definitely... skewed to say the least.

  • What is this? How do these images of.... of.. pillywiggins? In any case, what on earth do they have to do with the people of the hills?

  • I believe that Fae do not exist.

however i like to think of them as people who got trapped in an alternate universe, and over time evolved into something other than human, and then those later generations came back to this universe, changed significantly, their powers and items are merely advanced technologies, transhuman modifications, or evolutionary developments.

  • Now, assuming I'm not walking in on somene's RPG fest...what makes anyone here think that the Fae are what we think they are today? Maybe the real Fey were actually human, and the creatures being called Fae today (thousands of years for people to screw up, as they tend to) aren't something akin to the Djinni of the Qur'an, or the spirits in the Bible? What if the Fae Rhy were, in fact, a simple people, who came into contact with something other, and then got credit for 'becoming' something new?

  • It was something that often happened to changelings, to Sidhe who were placed into mortal bodies for whatever reason.

With time, they would forget their true nature, slipping more and more into the human world, until at last they forgot themselves, trapped forever between the worlds while never knowing in which they truly belonged.

  • Miitzuri, is it possible for a Fae to be trapped in a human body and then forget itself?

  • I see.

  • ye my past lives were the same form i am now i am a relative of the "Fair One"
