I rented this game and am glad that there is a sense of normalcy about it... it's not "filled in" with half dressed dork men, or 1/3- dressed women! I can let my son and daughter play it without worrying about them hearing "goofy" lyrics... and this is the kicker for any parents who may not know it: YOU ACTUALLY LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT MUSIC!...

Apparently, learning how to use various instruments and improvise is a lot more for children than learning how to match the rhythm and lyrics.
It's pathetic that people complain about Nintendo releasing something familiar, but they also complain about them not using anything Guitar Hero-esque.

i gave this a try at my friend's when he rented it and we turned it off after 15 minutes
i dont insult people who play this to sound cool or elitist, i insult people (not including small kids) who play this because it is for children. i'd have more fun with playdo

Holding your hand/mike to your mouth and swaying the other to the rythem DOESN'T look like beat boxing? What is it supposed to look like? Two guys standing on Dj tables and punching each other?
