A controversial documentary film written, directed, produced by, and starring Michael Moore. It won numerous awards, including an Academy Award for Best Documentary Features, the César Award for Best Foreign Film.

The film explores what Moore suggests are the causes for the Columbine High School massacre and other acts of violence with guns. Moore focuses on the background and environment in which the massacre took place, and some common public opinions and assumptions about related issues. The film looks into the nature of violence in the United States, focusing on guns as a symbol of both American freedom and its self-destruction.

  • @lordfoley423 Not necessarily. Canada has almost as high a rate of gun ownership as America, and yet, their crime rates are still significantly lower. Moreover, America has a higher rate of child neglect, and assault with or without a gun.

I think it's not necessarily the gun ownership, as the culture--gun ownership is just a facet of that.

  • @1337wafflezz about 95% of criminals in america get their weapons illigally, of course thats because gun control laws aren't tight enough..... what shit....

  • Ok well if you say that the reason America has more issues with guns is because they are easier to get a hold of than in other countries you may be right...but please show me some statistics about stabbings, poisonings, brutal beatings or any other sort of ways of killing people. Other countries may not have as many gun issues but please enlighten me about these other things and the number of occurrences in other countries.

  • @lordfoley423 That's the way it should be dude. Why don;t you want to give people the right to defend themselves??!?! Why should only the government have guns?!?!?! You're such a goddamn elitist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet you're the first one to defend Parliamentary pricks in the UK who hunt with automatic rifles while they take away goddamn pistols from their own population. Have fun being a slave

  • @lordfoley423 Really? I always thought it was because of this "shoot first, ask questions later" mentality that runs rampant throughout the U.S.

  • Firearm violence is at a low at the moment. The 90s were probably the most dangerous years gun violence wise in the century.

50% of the 17,000 suicides in 07 were by firearm

a 1/4 of the gun violence is committed by blacks right now...used to be 45%

55% of the victims are blacks

  • @rollthelosingdice what a racist you are..

  • blacks + rap music = 11,000 deaths a year

  • You want to see what guns in America looks like?

watch my video "Palm Beach by Suave Smooth"
