@BikeGlad Kon Tiki the book sold 20 million copies and was translated into 67 languages, and portions of it appeared in Life, Readers Digest and National Geographic magazines. The movie (Kon Tiki) won an academy award for best documentary in 1952, and Thor's presentation was so dynamic that he won over many scientists and professors with his theory that pre-Columbian natives of South America could have sailed to Polynesia and built the pyramids on Tahiti, Hawaii and the Easter Island statues.
