the Green Light countdowns actually caused more accidents... that's why most places stick to only Red Light countdowns (which reduce the frequency of accidents).

Sadly nowadays the green light countdown in Taiwan has been canceled by the govenment, and only red light countdown could be seen

@weipeiwu2000 Noticed those cool walking people in those lights? They start running as soon as the timer approaches 5 seconds. :)

they have those in mainland China too, but they rust so fast because of the humidity... They were there for a year and gone the next. Here in the US of A, I actually don't mind watching the pedestrian lights count down and turn red.

No we didn't. It was a green light and I just showed the red light because I wanted to see it up close as we approached it. However, a lot of people pass red lights in Taiwan. Haha!
