please do not bring Hindu- Muslim etc in Rafi and Kishore's heights- they were beyond all religions- 2 of the greatest singers ever. Just for the record- Rfi sahab has sung more songs featuring the word "Raam"than any other singer and Naushad Sahab has composed more songs with the word "Raam"- both muslims- doesnt that say something very positive about what kind of blessed souls they were?

Music knows no religion- it is the joy of God carried through to us by these fantastic channels!

I recommend you all to listen to "Aapke Ke Anurodh Pe" and come back to me. Look at the strength in his voice. When ppl try this song they run out of air. Kishoreda`s voice was sooooo thick! So, manly. Woh khanak unki awaaz me thi jo kabhi kisi ke paas nahi ho sakti, not even Rafi saab. His song "Haal Kya Hai dilon ka" is untouchable. Even Rafi saab who was his senior always praised his naturally gifted voice. But being an elder, his pride didnt allowed him to admit that kishoreda was better.

@uzairkhan123496 Haha. KISHOREDA WAS A GREATER AND MORE GIFTED SINGER THAN RAFI. Dont try to shout I can shout too! And Kishoreda has given more hits which is why he has won MORE Filmfare awards. Rafi was legend but then soo was Kishoreda. You cannot compare them. We can just love both.

Did I miss songs Kishore sang for Dilip Kumar, Guru Dutt, B Bhusan, Pradeep K, Johny Walker, Rajendra, Joy Mukherjee, Manoj K or Shammi K etc? Its difficult to even imagine. Even for other actors like Jitendera and Dharmendra, Kishore was not able to sing for them before the 70s. Not true for Rafi who continued to sing for every leading actor of 70s when Kishore was at his peak. Rafi even sang for Kishore himself! We can all make subjective comments about voice quality but cannot deny facts.

If anything Kishore fans should be proud that he is even being compared to Rafi. You all know in the bottom of your heart who is better. Both singers were roughly of the same era. How come then we don't recall Kishore's songs for so many leading actors of 50s and 60s, that's 20 long years...except for a few songs for Dev Anand and Shashi. It's the other way round for Rafi: it would be quite a challenge for anyone to find actors that Rafi did NOT sing for...any comparison here makes sense?

@tomdick0705harry SHAME ON YOU. Kishoreda was beyond the comprehension of us all. He was a genius. Im sure you would hve heard many singers singing Rafi`s songs and doing a gud justice to them. For eg, Sonu Nigam, listen to his album "Kal Aaj Aur Kal Rafi". He was almost flawless. There r many other singers who`ve done Rafi`s cover versions. But Kishoreda`s songs r unattemptable. Abhijeet and kumar sanu tried them and failed badly.Kishoreda had a voice with extreme deep base. Thats unattainable.
