World premier of the Scion FR-S driving scenes. Also known as Toyota GT 86. It looks different then the concept, it's much less "edgy" looking and more bland. It has about 200 horsepower and has almost perfect weight distribution 47/50. It's lightweight as well. It's a great starter sports car and i think there will be a lot of tuners looking to make this much faster like they did with the Supra.

  • Why would anyone buy a Scion badged version and not Subaru STI?

  • @DLC1988 well the only way i would have brought a scion is if they stuck with the same interior as the other two. Just to save a little money, they jeopardize sales of the Scion by putting cheap materials for the interior.

1)The Subaru BRZ STI was just the concept. The production Subaru BRZ is not an "STI" for now.

    2) The anticipated list price for the Subaru is $28,000. The list price for the Scion is $22,500, for an identical car

    3) The Subaru has a big piece of black plastic on the front of the car that is going to fade badly

    4) You can get a WRX for less than a BRZ

So really, why would you get the Subaru instead of the Scion?

  • ill buy one and take everything that says scion and replace it with toyota

  • @pditty33 but about the price..scion is a company that makes money out of selling options, so if you put pretty much everything u want then, it would come out almost same spec and looking of interior of BRZ..that goes to price too...imo

  • well I was going to buy one now they are just stupid looking and look like a Hyundai genisis,,,

  • @pditty33 you sure about the 22,500 starting price for the scion? also, any word on the interior quality of the scion?...and compared to its subaru sibling? thanks

  • Take your 25k and buy a used 350z/370z and get a real car, this thing is a rear wheel drive scion tC with 20 more HP.

  • @DLC1988 Apparently the Scion version is identical to the Toyota version, which is tuned for a bit less understeer/more oversteer compared to the Subaru version.

I would MUCH rather stare at a Subaru emblem than a Scion emblem in the steering wheel. But if the Scion is more fun to drive, I'll take it.

    That's a big "if," though. ;)

  • @euricdinkins i totally agree, look nothing like the concept. very disappointed with the turn out.

  • I use to have high hopes for this car. but its so far from the Concept model... I will pass... And yes im aware that cars change from the concept but I feel they had it right with the concept.

  • how does a car have 47/50 weight distribution?
