OIL Strikes Petit Bois Island Mississippi on June 29, 2010

This shows the oil coming ashore on the East End of Petit Bois Island on the South Side. Lots of Goooey Tar like material. Not a soul around to clean it up. Several lookers though, like the Coast Guard, an unidentified Chopper, and a cruising Shrimp Boat probably contracted by BP. This Island is part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore run by the National Park Service.

You are welcome. It is just sad that there is no cleanup crew out there. They know not many people are seeing this because of its location. Plenty of cruising BP boats and helicopters but you don't see it on the news either.
