A video tribute to my Greyhound Red Tiger Smoke - AKA Bullet.

He was adopted as a retired racing greyhound. He had the rare oportunity to live most of his life with one of his littermate brothers named blast whom was also adopted by us. He stole our hearts and will be missed terribly.

  • sad to see a family pet die.

Did you cremate him or bury him?

  • He was cremated and is now resting peacefully in a oak urn.

  • great tribute! I wish there were more that knew about these wonderful dogs!

  • I know, They are such awesome pets.

  • Excellent tribute to your retired racers! I have 2 myself, Marla (who raced for 4 1/2 years-156 races) and Bedtime (who races for 3 1/2 years-95 races). People do not know how Greyt these retired racers are! They make excellent companions, I couldn't imagine my life without my two! I am SO sorry for your loss, I know there aren't any words that can take away the pain of loosing such a Greyt member of your family! Time will help...

  • Thanks for your kind words. We just got home from Greyhounds in Gettysburg... We had a grety time. Although it did make me miss Bullet a ton!

  • Beautiful dog and Im sure a great friend he was. = )

  • they are good pets to have.

  • Very nice tribute. I still miss our first grey "Viche" he stole our hearts for the short time we had him. We have a blue now named Vi and she is a great dog. Did you adopt another?

  • I too have 2 rescued greyhounds...Forest and Encore....both recently turned 9 years old. I love this breed and wished all of them could find forever homes once their racing days are over.
