Maris is a singer-songwriter from the New Jersey Coast, in the shadow of New York City. Though only 15 years old, her songwriting shows a surprising sophistication and a natural instinct for catchy hooks, haunting melodies, poetic lyrics and emotional storylines. "Never Felt This Way" is the first of what will be many original songs to be produced and released on the internet. Accompanying the track is a music video, shot in a number of locations around the Shore area. The video features actor Elya Vasiliev, the Jonzes; with special thanks to Tom Hammer Studios, Funk and Standard, Nirvana Girls, The Columns in Avon-by-the-Sea, and Tom Reu, editor. Maris will continue to perform at various venues around the area, and will continue to release new original music.
