  • the best version of this song..better than the original

  • Love Reed and Cale standing together at the end. Shame they were at each other's throats again pretty soon after this - such a beautiful performance.

  • @haiboriver I am a huge Lou Reed fan and stand by what I said. I wish Lou Reed had died young and not left me with these tainted memories.

  • @LostInTimeRecorings Lou Reed's voice is awful here? are you alright? all VU fans into this best band of rock history just for Lou Reed's signature voice, that semi-spoken singing as impressive as Nico...older the man gets, I find it more charismatic and beautiful..u don't like this voice, just go take a walk..I don't have nothing to talk to you type of people.

  • @wolfamon this is a Paris live version in early 90's...the original means the studio version years ago than this Paris reunion live...d'u ever heard of that studio version? go back to rock n roll school to get more common sense to talk about VU with me. I learn how to read how to listen and how to live with Lou Reed...I enjoy every moment with the man..this is simply the most impressive and emotional version of the song..period.

  • @haiboriver what do you mean with "better than the original" ? this IS the original; written by lou reed and here performed by lou reed and the velvet underground - how much original any more do you need ? ;-)

  • @haiboriver Seriously? with all the words Lou forgets and how awful his voice sounds? Musically maybe better, but lou sounds awful and your kind of delusional if you think otherwise.

  • this is not better than the original. granted it is almost a completely different song & beautiful in it's own right, the original is soooo much better in my opinion. his guitar and singing style before he cleaned up was unfortunately way better & more unique. this version lacks the soul & pain that showed through even his happiest of songs.

  • esta version esta hermosaaa...pero la mejor es la de MARISA MONTE!!!

  • Así es, Lou Reed debe dedicarse a sus canciones, no parir bodrios como Lulu

  • i love sterling's steve cropper esque licks.

  • This version always makes me bawl.
