Wildlife Art by Max Thompson

The exhibit is comprised of 30 illustrations focusing primarily on fishing and hunting scenes set in Missouri/Arkansas Ozark backgrounds. Trained as a professional environmental biologist, Thompson has merged his knowledge of the natural world with his art to produce a series of Ozark Sketches. His drawings have been published in Ducks, Geese & Swans of North America by noted wildlife biologist Frank Bellrose and in various outdoor publications. Recent solo exhibits of his work have been hosted by Missouri Department of Conservation nature centers in Springfield, Blue Springs, and Cape Girardeau.

SBUs Driskill Gallery is located in the Jester Learning and Performance Center on the main campus in Bolivar, Mo. Exhibit hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is free.
