San Antonio tips the scales as the third-fattest city in America, according to Men's Fitness magazine. Worse, the city's weight problem has been passed down to its children. Rather than accepting the grim statistics, leaders of the town nicknamed "Fat City" began a campaign to combat their citizens' poor exercise and eating habits, as well as the poverty that often leads to obesity. But is it enough?
Nearly 70 percent of San Antonio residents are overweight or obese -- a figure that climbs to 80 percent in the poorest neighborhoods. The quest is: Will Fat City one day be able to call itself Fit City?

Cheap food tends to be very processed and high fat...chips,candy, fast food, colas...that is why poor people tend to have poorer health.
