Just a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong Disneyland is the HDL Resort Pier. Originally designed to receive guests by ferry from locations in the region, the pier has never been officially used. However, this has not stopped local fishermen and weary resort guests from appropriating the location for their own personal use. Some local Hong Kong fishing magazines have even started publicizing the pier as an excellent spot to make a catch. Although Disney security does make patrols and monitors the area via CCTV, they do not actively remove guests from the pier, so long as they are on the "open" Western Dock and not the gated off Eastern Dock. The pier has been referred to by some as Disney's "White Elephant" in Chinese.
This video offers a glimpse of how a conceptualized/designed space can be appropriated by individuals and used for purposes utterly different than the designer had envisioned. Lefebvre eat your heart out.

@fancysnake1 Thanks for your comment. In fact I was just there at HDL today! You should check out their new nightly show, "Tinker Bell Castle Illumination" as part of the park's fifth anniversary the next time you go. 祝你有奇妙的一天!
