I admit, my previous comment was somewhat brash. That was almost a year ago; since then I have had the great pleasure of meeting Dr. Suzuki in person while attending an ECO themed lecture. I have the utmost respect for him and wanted to draw attention to the fact that not only is he the leader of the great Eco crusade but a multifaceted scientist as well. This draws attention to the fact that David Suzuki has focused his energy on perhaps one of the most important subjects of all.
@burningdust - I know what you mean but honestly, your skewed view is the underpinning of the real problem... Specifically, nothing should interest us more than the speedy transformation to a sustainable way of life and the salvation of our planet. Much more pleasant would have been a better way to put it... changing peoples' perspectives about the workings of our planet is not pleasant work nor is it easy to listen to but we must listen... we must act... NOW!
I'm looking for the change Obama promised but I still see us on course to jump off the peak oil cliff, and take everything that's worth saving with us in the process, we don't realise that we are the "Oil Age Dinosaurs" about to become extinct.

I miss the old David Suzuki, before he got totally wrapped up in the ECO debate.
He used to do so many other projects back in the 80's. Much more interesting.
