Point Blanc - KL Leng Zai (KL is the capital of Malaysia) ( Lheng Zai literally means a punk or a Brat)
Malaysian hip hop at its finest. Trilingual (English, Hokkien & Cantonese) emcee Point Blanc's solo debut album "Straight to the Point" featuring the hit single "Ipohmali" and Chinese street anthem "KL Lheng Chai".

History:
KL was founded by Canton Chinese or a ethnic Han Chinese miner in 18th century by Yap Ah Loy a Hakka Descent from GuangDong ( Canton) as the scarce of the resources expand, business moved in. Later, British seize an opportunity by bringing in a new system by declaring Kuala Lumpur as the administrative center in the 18th century . Mostly were inhabit by the Cantonese Chinese, and also brought in Malay farmers to settle near Kuala Lumpur to provide food for the miners. In rapid growth of the city, it became a classic center of British colonialism and was given the status of Federal Territory until today.

Cantonese are widely spoken in KL (capital city of Malaysia) Mandarin Chinese is slowly replacing Cantonese as it is widely spoken today among the teenager or new generation. Cantonese was originated from Canton, a province in China also known as Guang Dong or Guangdong it is also wide-spoken in the city of ShenZhen or GuangZhou a city in province of Guang Dong( Southern east of China) Cantonese is also widely spoken in Hongkong and also recognise as an official language or dialect of chinese and also some China-town all over the world but recently Mandarin is replacing Cantonese as a lingua-franca due to different dialect spoken by people eg shanghainese, taishanese, hakkanese, hainanese and many more. it can be found in China town of Canada, New york, California, London, and many more big cities where the Overseas Chinese settled in long ago.

  • the leng zhai he's rapping about refers to gangsters or punk, not handsome boy. Read his lyrics and you will understand he's talking more specifically about "young punks" life in KL.
