  • I'm having some trouble.. when I try to play it or when I upload the video to youtube, it's only 3 seconds long. Any tips?

  • @MegaBroadwayPrincess Make sure you have not put a check in 'render loop region only' on the render settings page.

  • This takes WAY too long.

  • @Wrestlingfan414 To make it easier for you, set your project properties to '720-30P'.

Then after editing your video, use 'render as', and render to .wmv, using the 720-30P template. Then upload to YouTube.

  • Is this still effective? Youtube might have changed certain compression things in the meanwhile, seeing as this video is from 2007.

    Thanks

  • @Luchtanker If editing HD videos for YouTube, use the settings I show in my YouTube video 'Sony Vegas Movie Studio Settings for HD wide screen at YouTube'

  • I recorded a video with fraps, which was originally a good few gigs. I rendered 10 seconds of it and the quality was somewhat poor and it was around 57MB. I used this and it IMPROVED the quality and brought it down to around 3MB. Thank you very much.

  • Haha, thanks for this, AVI is ridiculously big, I rendered a video that was 4 minutes long and it turned out to be over 27Gb! Youtube said it would take 48 hours to upload >.<

  • @guerillabill Okay thanks I'll try that. But it was only doing like 60 frames in 20 seconds...and I was doing a video over an hour long.

  • Thank you, this was a big help.

  • thanks so much!
