Here is my Mario Paint version of the "Trainer Battle Theme 1" theme from Pokemon Gold and Silver.
It surprisingly didn't take very long to do. Only a couple hours across the weekend. Plus, it helps that I love this song and forced myself to complete it really quickly. :P
Fun fact about this upload: it uses only instrument. All of the sounds are the same, with variations in pitch and volume. e.g., the Flower is a higher pitch than the Gameboy and the Heart is a lower pitch with lower volume. I believe it is a Saw Synth? I don't know, I got it off of the "Electronia" soundfont.
Really, Gameboys and Cars are the same exact instrument in this, no variation. I made the two separately so that I could a) keep the main melody and the counter melody in two different voices and b) make chords where one of the instruments would hold and the other instrument would change pitch before the other.
I know I butchered the opening jingle. I tried to get it to where it sounded just good enough. It sounds right, but I know something HAS to be wrong with it. I'm extremely confident with the rest of the song, though. I couldn't tell anything that was wrong with it.
All of this was done by ear. I'm definitely thankful for Windows Media Player's ability to slow songs down to half-speed while retaining pitch. That feature helped me on countless times.
Tempos range from 1600-1630. I know some of the sections don't call for that fast, but I kept it like that for a) consistency and b) so that I could get better sounding cutoffs while using the Low A glitch.
This is great! Especially since you did it by ear. Plus, a recommendation, download audacity and you can slow the tempo down a LOT, helps for crazy parts of songs, like the intro here :P.

Oh, I have Audacity, but I did not know that you could slow down the sound clip in it. Thanks, I'll take a look into it and see if it helps. :)
