A quick demo of my DG-1000 - an awesome piece of gear. I've chosen eight quite different patches to show how versatile this thing is. Listen out for blackface, Vox and JCM 800.

  • Nice demo! The speaker sim is not the best one, the high gain sounds are too fizzy for my taste. The DG-Stomp has a good speaker sim, which sounds surprisingly close to a miced V30: youtube.com/watch?v=CqzHRoSVOPU

Here's an example how the DG1000 sounds through a Marshall Aniversary amp (used as power amp): youtube.com/watch?v=FWNKyBfFMjQ

The input sensitivity of the DG1000 is a bit weak (if you use single coils), there is a gain mod on the yahoo dg user group.

  • @redsquier375 sorry for that...best regards mate

  • @miker119 Mostly strat with vintage 50s-style pickups actually - only used humbuckers from 'epic fail' @ 2:03 onwards!

  • @EgoShredder in my mind it sounds like he used coil tabed PUs for some sounds...but great sounds anyway

  • Epic fail starting at 2:03.

  • I'm not criticising you personally but why do all the sounds seem buzzy and thin with no life, and like the strings are old? I appreciate that you need to have the right combination of amp, preamp, FX and guitar to get those nice thick juicy rich distortion sounds. My own setup consists of Marshall JMP-1, Marshall Valvestate 8008, Marshall JCM900 Lead 1960A, Yamaha FX500 (distortions not used) and Yamaha RGX321FP with DiMarzio PAF Pro x2 and stock single middle pickup.

  • Very rich and high quality tones. I have owned a DG stomp for 9 years and love it as well but it does not have the whole package of the DG1000.....It will do though.

  • Great.
