  • I was priviledged to have been called a friend by Joe and this brings back some really great memories. He was the best bluegrass tenor singer, period. Have been out of touch with Karl Lauber since Joe died and would like to reconnect. Karl, give me a shout! Pete Szyszko "cochinmaster56@yahoo.com"

  • I grew up listening to Joe Val, and I love how this band had mastered the southern timing and the drive of the banjo. That is not easy to do when the band comes largely from New England. As a northerner player myself (North Dakota) it makes me proud that there are other players out there from different parts of the country (even in those days) that could compete and compare with the best of them.

  • Karl lauber is my step-dad and it was really cool to see this video. Soooooo proud of his accomplishments in music!!! He is genius playing anything with strings:) thanx for posting this!!

  • I wished there was more people playing bluegrass music today that sounded as traditional as this band! No SWILL... The "REAL" stuff! Thank you for posting!
