Believe it or not MOST new trucks (even big 1 ton trucks) contain these warnings within their owner's manuels, or even on stickers in the glove compartments or door jams. This is a liability waiver, so the truck makers can't be blamed if anyone actually manages to overload one of these big trucks, and break it some how.

My dad has a 2003 of the same look and cab and the truck manual said that you can't put one of those on a quad cab
