Please Read: I referenced alot of anime in particular to help me get through this GITS: SAC, Wolf Rain, Street Fighter, Spriggan, Gundam X..all of 'em and more inspired. Animation and backgrounds were all drawn/painted by me.

Music Title: Mortal Meier
Artist: Marco D' Ambrosio
Album Title: Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust OST
Track #17, Released 2001

If you really like animation try studying your favorite animation piece. Pick a scene and look at it frame by frame. It will really help. Thanks for all the positive comments guys and keep drawing even when you get really frustrated, give it your best.

  • what program did u use in order to keep the background still while the other layers are moving on top of it?

  • @emiful333 I used Toon Boom Studio for that. There may be some other software you can use for that too, recently I've seen people talking a lot about "Pencil" which is supposed to be free but I've never used it.

  • how do u keep the sizes the same and proportional when u move the object or person?

  • @emiful333 When you drawing on the lightbox you should be able to judge how large the object should be by comparing it to the frame before it that should be visible because of the light. If you are having problems with it maybe keep your keyframes really simple until you make sure everything is consistent then go back and add in the details.

  • This is incredible. At around 2:40 in the video, while the dude's facial expressions are changing, does it require a whole new drawing for each small movement of the face? Thank you.

  • @12triggaman12 Nope the eyes and mouth are on a layer by themselves. If you look at this video... /watch?v=qcrfmKjwMd0 ....around 23-30 seconds its exactly like what you will see.

  • Did you really make all of this? Like the final part was tht from some tv cartoon or something cause if not it looks like it would be a goof cartoon and if i wasnt on my phone i would subscribe :) great vie.

  • Everything's awesome. :) I'm curious how you made the animatic part and animation itself. Adobe Premier, is it? Though, there's one transition I'm not a big fan of. 2:51 (Two Shot) to 2:52 (the guy shooting.)

It just feels awkward. xD BUt other than that, everything is fine.

  • Looks nice. Keep it up.

  • Very well done... the animation reminds me a little of Cowboy Bebop.

Approximately how long did this take just curious... YMMV?

  • What tools do you used?

    I mean software =)

  • What tools do you used?

  • What program?
