After the busy day-long sight-seeing in Wellington, I was off to the southisland of NZ onboard the Interislander ferry. Floating through the Tasman sea, one gets to absorb the beauty of the green surroundings. It took me to Picton wharf on the southisland, from where one walks about 10 minutes to get to the Picton train station. Hear I boarded the next segment of the Scenic railway, the TraNZ-coastal. As the name suggests, it travels parallel to the east coast of southisland and gives the traveller some gorgeous close-ups of the coastline, the Pacific and to the lucky few, some sea creatures like whales and seals. At the end of this journey, I was back in Christchurch for Christmas!

I hope you enjoy the video.
