This is a wonderful song .. one that I think has not gottten the wider exposure over the years that it truly deserves. Several artists have done great renditions of the song .. JCF here is terrific, as usual; John Prine's version is probably the most well-known. But - an artist named JIM RINGER also did his own treatment of this song, back in '72 I believe .. slower, with intense feeling, & with a beautiful fiddle lead .. that'd have to be my fave version of all ...

I'm glad John's back again and released his new album as early as two years after Revival (remember he kept us waiting for seven years from Blue Moon Swamp to Deja Vu; of course waiting was worth the while twice!!). How long will it take him to release his next rock album? I hope it won't be more than another two years!
