Donna yes please talk you the homeowners they should let you have at least 3-4 max. I live in a subdivision as well, at the time when I purchased my house there were no restrictions but now there are regarding chickens, o well too bad because I had already bought some before the restrictions and my neighbors don't mind at all, my chickens are small and they are not loud and they don't cause any trouble unlike many of the cats in the area that like to use my garden as their personal potty spot.

What a gorgeous place!!! Yah..I'd move to N.C. in a flash...!!! So beautiful!! What a great place to live and grow. Ya got me thinking about that grass fed beef...and local organics. Ok..I'm moving there. I heard about Ashland groovy earth connected community. Congrats

you might have to cut back some of the trees it looks like you have a lot of shade. Talk to the neighbours to see if you can go halfs on the chicken, cow milk and beef. For a few bucks in the summer the neighbour might let you have a small garden on his property. Become buddy buddy with him it might be worth it. You will learn so much.

Wow looks like you have a lot of space. Very beatiful there too! Tou could probably just do moe raised bed gardens. If you don't want to tear up the ground a lot, you can even build the ones that stand on 4 legs maybe 3 feet off the ground. Other than the spot where the leg goes in the soil, there won't be any shange to the dirt. That's what by brother does, because he rents.
Really enjoy your videos!!! Long time viewer, first time commentator. Why the move (pardon me if you have already explained). Good luck and looking forward to your videos.

@kittyhawk1027 Thanks for watching my videos! I moved over the summer because of the oil spill. It wasn't the oil though, it was the Corexit which was being dispersed into the water and air to clean it up. Highly toxic stuff and I wanted my kids away from it. Many people ended up very sick; they are saying from the Corexit.

I love your new place, it looks very peaceful and relaxing can't wait to see your new garden. Did u take along your raised beds? Because i just moved into a house from an apartment, that we're renting with a great big yard and i wanna put some raised beds in but was concerned just how they could be moved when we relocate. Do u just have to take everything down. How did u move your asparagus crop? while they were still planted?

@3xslady Well, I did not take my beds but I could have. They were very easy to remove. I dug uo part of the bed of asparagus...and have yet to put it into the ground! :(( I cut them back and took the crowns.. I have no idea if they will survive at this point. Thanks..our new place is so peaceful and beautiful!
