I just cut 2-3 inches of foam in front of the battery compartment so now I can shove an 1800 or 2200 mah lipo further forward for better balance and I can still get the battery hatch cover on. Hopefully this will work.

Yes, where is the CG? Mine flies terribly. It is tail heavy. What battery did you use? Did you enlarge the battery compartment?
