The sight of the Toho logo itself at the start of a Kurosawa film makes me happy, simply because I know a really cool title sequence will follow. That and Toshiro Mifune's walk. Now I love both Toshiro Mifune and Tatsuya Nakadai, both are talented and handsome (Mifune in a feral way, Nakadai in a roguish way), but as usual Mifune steals every scene. Even just by walking. I can't think of anyone else who holds that power.
