  • The truth is powerful and Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura speak it. Agree or disagree, Ron Paul and Jesse Ventura will allow an honest debate. This show permits open discussion, which is great. It's a shame that the mainstream media has done so much to ruin the reputation of people who cover politics.

  • He has heard, and spoken out against it

  • Ventura says when we go to airports we are not protected by the Constitution. Has he not heard about the TSA's VIPR operations at bus stations, train stations, interstate highways etc?

    It's not just airports.

  • progressacunts....? lool wow lack creativity even harder

  • Jessie Ventura Rocks!............This host is a typical Progressive control freak, who lives in la la land.

  • There will always be a threat to all of our security. Welcome to life on earth.

Cost benefit analysis should be taken into account in deciding what extra measures, if any, should be taken.

Ask a Palestinian how they'd feel if they were given the same respect regarding sovereignty that Israel was in 1948.

You cannot TOUCH another human being without clear legal reason of suspicion. If you do, you are violating their 4th amendment rights.

You may give up yours, but you can't give up mine.

  • @Vondur

Answer these questions and then ask yourself if your paranoia and subsequent viewpoint on giving up your rights for safety is warranted.

How many terrorist attacks have occurred in the US?

How many of those attacks were aviation related?

How many attempted attacks have been thwarted by the TSA compared to how many that succeeded?

Also, I'll point out, we aren't discussing other countries and I don't consider teens, "children", especially when discussing war torn areas.

  • @Theobrothers That leads me to my next question though. Do you feel there is any threat to the US? If so do you believe that any extra measures should be taken to prevent it? After the Norway attack I think their response was to basically change nothing, so maybe that works in some places. Not all places though. Ask an Israeli how they'd feel if their government just threw up their arms and ignored the threat of terrorist attacks.

  • @Theobrothers I'm not a paranoid freak who thinks there's a terrorist behind every bush, but I do know that in countries where there are a lot of fanatics, children are given bombs and weapons all the time. So in that sense if we're truly patting people down to prevent attacks, making children except from being checked would be the really illogical choice.

  • I do think there is a more serious reason to be against these.

Imagine these pat downs became more frequent. First planes, then trains, then buses. Then in your own car at state lines, then county, then city.

Imagine then the government was doing some things the people didn't agree with. Imagine the military was used to enforce the governments choices.

How much harder would it be to dissent?

Do you want control or do you want to be controlled? That is the real question.

  • @Vondur

Full body pat downs at concerts? Seriously.

    Anyway.

What you are doing is thinking illogically. You are thinking that your experience is enough for you to make a decision on a topic that effects everyone.

You may not mind, heck some people may love getting groped but some people don't. So to force all people to be patted down without actual good reason is a violation of our constitutional rights.

Remember, you may not mind something, but these rules apply to all, even kids.
