  • Great work! That scene has always bugged me. That S-symbol weapon was just stupid and completely weak.

  • Thank you very much! As you said, the S-symbol weapon is just stupid. Lester created "new powers" only to show more special effects (very poor by the way).

  • Clever. Very clever. I always hated the finally of this flick lacking an impact of action. I know we had a big bad Rumble in Metropolis but still. And I know Supes outwits them and that should certainly be kept, supes is not brawn. But it still needed more fight to fight stuff. Anyway, wut U did here is great. I don't know why, but I thought the "S" wrap was pretty neat. I wasn't complaining, if I did I'd have to complain about the whole around the world thing, and the white beams.

  • I agree with you. The final of the film needs more action. I think lester "try" to put that in the film. But not vere well done...

  • Prettty cool. It was a little too abrubt though. I like pedalero's suggestion of showing a shot of Supes before he uses the heat vision to slow things down a bit.

  • Thanks! Maybe if you see only this scene you may think is a little abrupt. But when you see in the film not because superman is hidden in the fortress until this. Before this, I put the scene with the fortress force field.

  • Great variation. Top Marks.

But as a small kid who grew up in the 80's I'll always have a soft spot for the original version. If it was in the comics first, there would never be a problem with fans.

  • Makes more sense than the cellophane "S"

  • I always hated the Lester version..

  • ok I like what you did there but the funny plastic S is one of the resions why this film is as awsem as it is.

  • this is how it should of been, blasting people with heat vision.

  • This scene can't be from the Richard Donner cut, can it?

  • Much better than the original :)

  • I miss the Cellaphane 'S'. That's just about as weird.

  • i always thought the seran S was a bit cheesy. Clearly a Lester idea. Sorry, Dick. I hated the invisibility between S and the villains. Donner's fortress scenes are a whole lot better. The only problem after S eliminates the villains, you see them being arrested by the arctic police while S, Lois, and Luther are outside the fortress. In my tape of the ABC cut, ABC did a pretty good job of editing out the villains being arrested, but in one scene you can see Non in the background being escorted.

  • Much better than his brand new super power of hurling cling-film at bad guys (who understandably look confused)
