I just saw his name on the end credits of Cast Away. I find this topic quite fascinating. People forget that audio is 50% of the film experience. I've only done sound design for a handful of indy films and but would love to work on this level of film making some day.

very respectful sound designer! I just watched the movie called "Howard the duck" and I figured out that the sound design and re-recording mixer of this movie was Randy Thom! In fact this movie was the first movie that I watched on a video cassette! So now I'm a young sound designer as well and the fact that I watched it 21 years later is very inspiring. As well as knowing that Randy was doing sound in that film. Great interview guys. Kepp em coming!
