From the George Formby Society convention March 2010. Steve plays his Ludwig Weldell Hall Professional Banjo Uke. Steve is a long time member and a fantastic player. His uke is tuned D/G, I believe the song is in G and was written be George Gibbons.
I apologise for spelling Steve's first name wrong on the video but I'm not going to upload it again!
@O1Ang Thats brilliant! Your dad must have been a very talented man! I have been trying to find the sheet music/chords for the song for ages! Kind Regards,

Great stuff Steve, I was amazed to find this as I am George Gibbons' daughter, and remember well the plonking sessions at Blackpool I went to with him. I have a tape of Dad singing this song, he wrote it when he was young, in his twenties I think, which was in the 1940's. Dad sadly died in Spain in a car accident in 1987, but all the family fondly remember his uke playing and we still have his Jack Abbott banjos. So glad to see the song is still alive and being played.
