@Qloos In early January, near Squamish, BCers do a bald eagle count. Approximately 3,000 eagles fly down to this place (near Whistler) to eat spent salmon (the fish, after having swum up the Fraser River, spawn, die, and then get eaten by the eagles.) I've been there, and the smell! Oh, it stinks of dead salmon, but the view! Oh, my! Adult eagles and juniors sitting on trees, munching on salmon near the river -- it's beautiful!
