Also, the truck has been as fast as a 12.72.
I'm on 34" tires, so stock tires would make a huge difference too. Is your's a MegaCab because that extra weight is going to make it slower too.
The setup I have now is dialed in pretty well. You can see how there is no smoke after the launch. The fuel and rail pressures stay up so it's not just from a lack of fuel.

The towing is unbelievable!
You can't hit 700hp on the stock CP3, which I still have.
The twins I have are considered a "small" set. They max out at around 650hp. They're not going to give more HP than your 71mm turbo, but they do make the truck a lot more drivable on the street. EGT's are not even a concern and there is no more lag than there was stock.
hi, newby question...do you eave it in 4x4 all the way?

Yes sir.
The Dodge front axles are always turning anyway (even in 2wd) because the front hubs are locked full-time. The ONLY difference between 2wd and 4wd is the front driveshaft will be locked or unlocked at the transfer case. For this reason you don't lose very much top-end speed when running a Dodge in 4wd. Some people try to shift out of 4wd after they launch, but the 4wd will not disengage until the throttle is lifted...so shifting back into 2wd really does nothing until the race is done.

excellent. how many hp does it make?

I haven't had it on a dyno with the current setup, but using a diesel-specific HP calculator (7500lbs weight and a best ET of 12.62) it comes to about 600-650hp at the wheels.

EGT's are better than stock with stock or near-stock programming. I usually detune the truck for towing (stock or #3 on the Smarty), but not because EGT's are a problem. I only detune it to help the tranny out. There's so much power you could never need it all for towing anyway.
