This just pure hip hop genius. For the life of me I will never understand how they call lil wayne or rick ross hip hop. Or any of that commercial crap hip hop. I am 52 yrs old and I know the real. I am a true hip hop head. The social impact would be tremendous if our young men would tune in to music like this, it is thought provoking.
I just can't put it into words how intelligent some artist are. Mos and Talib are just way too nice.

...This song is just too deep! I mean, from the "Why we follow the law of the 'Bluest Eye'" verse (touching on White Supremacy), to the "We take the Black Star Line, right on home" chant at the end (referring to the Honorable Marcus Garvey's steam ship line named the "Black Star Line", which was not only made to promote Black Entrepreneurship, but to literally take Black people back "right on home" to Africa), This song is just full of TRUTH! Please reawaken, Black Consciousness.

Read "The Bluest Eye" by Toni Morrison; the chorus takes lines directly from the book. Its also one of the greatest books ever written. Morrisons mastery of creating the racial dichotomy is drawn on in this song. I love this song, and I personally believe this should be in the National Archives as one of the purest continuations of the legacy of the Harlem Renaissance ever put into music. One of the greatest songs ever in my opinion.
