USED to be a good gym... now that its a franchise it is nothing more than a fitness centre supporting girls who wish to dress like prostitutes who spend their whole day running on a treadmill begging for attention.

However, if you work hard you are accused of 'intimidating' them and are told not to use chalks and in some cases not to deadlift.

@boils2 Not really... I work 3rd shift at a Golds and we work really hard to keep our gym clean and inviting to everyone. We have a lot of elderly men and women, middle aged, teens, handicapped, and huge body builders. There's a several big guys who are probably on roids but they aren't dealing or taking them here. That's for sure.

It depends on the particular Golds Gym you go to. The one I tried out was horrible, took ages to cancel my membership after some rather questionable billing practices they did.

Anyhow, to note also. I have friends who have said great things about other Golds Gyms. I found a good local place that I have warmed into myself though. Wish Gold's Gym would reign on the shitty practices of their franchise owners...
